The Director of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, under the general supervision of the Chief Quality Officer, will be responsible for the following:
Directing the organization-wide quality improvement effort, to include development and maintenance of the institution's performance improvement plan, oversight of external agency surveys, coordination of peer review activities, serious safety event reviews and remediation and collection and reporting of monitoring and evaluation activities
Interviewing, hiring, scheduling, assigning work to and evaluating the work performance of employees supervised
Performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or healthcare related field
A minimum of five years of experience in the quality improvement arena, at least two of which must be in a leadership role
Training and experience in performance improvement and project management
CPHQ and TeamSTEPPS training preferred
