CHI St. Vincent’s next Vice President, Medical Affairs for the Little Rock market will provide leadership and direction to the medical staff at the three facilities. As a relationship-oriented and proven physician leader in driving quality and patient safety initiatives, the Vice President, Medical Affairs will strengthen CHI St. Vincent’s efforts in providing world class care and services within a cost-effective environment to best meet the needs of the community. The Vice President, Medical Affairs’ responsibilities will include direct involvement in, or oversight of, activities that improve clinical performance and patient safety, achieve timely conversion to evidence-based medicine and ensure compliance with corporate policies/bylaws and regulatory/accreditation requirements. The Vice President, Medical Affairs will foster positive and collaborative relationships between the medical staff and hospital administration to provide the best care in the right setting for the existing and growing patient population. The Vice President, Medical Affairs will work closely with CHI counterparts on medical affairs strategic planning and organization-wide initiatives and serve as a member of the CHI St. Vincent’s President’s Council. Successful candidates will have demonstrated success serving in medical management roles within a hospital, preferably serving in an integrated health system. A dynamic and influential leadership style with excellent communication skills and demonstrated success in improving quality and safety outcomes are required. Current Board certification is required; an advanced degree is highly desirable.
