Geisinger has an exciting opportunity for a B/C/BE Pediatrician to join and grow our community based pediatric clinic in Montoursville, PA. There are exciting things coming to this practice, including moving into a brand new, state of the art micro-hospital.
The practice will consist of 2 Pediatricians, 2 Nurses, and 2-3 front desk support staff. You will see 18-24 patients per day, with potential to grow. Shifts are Monday – Thursday 8AM – 7PM, Friday 8AM – 5PM, each physician takes 1 evening. Call includes 1 in 4 weekends, 1 in 4 nights. Weekend shift is 8AM – 12PM.

General Pediatric Office – Montoursville: This is a mature office with a relatively high patient volume and with the new Healthplex we are anticipating new patients and referrals. We will consider a new graduate or an experienced Pediatrician to care for a mix of patient demographics. There are currently 2-3 patient rooms as schedules allow, and within the next year and the construction of the new Healthplex, more space will be available.
Healthplex Services: This brand new 115,000 square foot micro-hospital is slated to open in the fall of 2020 and will be equipped with three operating suites to handle elective outpatient surgeries, short-stay surgical cases, low risk emergent surgical cases, and procedural capacity (e.g. endoscopy). A broad range of specialty services, including Pediatric Cardiology, will be available on-site as well as the resources of Geisinger's expanded network of sub-specialists throughout the system.

GEISINGER MEDICAL CENTER: (GMC), located Danville, Pa., the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital. GMC, a Magnet Hospital, maintains the region’s only Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center with additional qualifications in pediatrics. GMC offers an array of highly specialized medical and surgical services, including neurosciences, cardiovascular services, transplantation, women’s health (in the Women’s Pavilion), oncology and orthopaedics. The Hospital for Advanced Medicine serves as an integrated center for the most critical patients. Outpatient services are available on and off campus.
